 SkerryvoreSkerryvore are a 6 peice traditional band based in Glasgow, Scotland. An all male band, they have been dubbed the 'boy band' of traditional Scottish music!! The roots of the band come from the West Coast of Scotland and in particular the tiny Island of Tiree, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.
Their driving sound of bagpipes, accordions and fiddle fused brilliantly with kicking rhythms of guitar, bass and drums has seen them appear at various festivals throughout Britain and Europe including the Hebridean Celtic Festival, MOK Festival, Celtic Connections and the Celtica Festival in Italy. Their debut album, 'West Coast Life' was awarded album of the month on BBC Radio Scotland's Celtic Connections program in August 2005. Their 2nd album, titled 'On the Road' was released in July 2007 and sold out the 1st batch of 2000 albums in its first week! After 32 gigs in 31 days in July 07, the band's hectic schedule continues with appearances throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe at various festivals and events.
