This recording by Ronan Martin is the first traditional fiddle album from the Isle of Skye. The album features Jonny Hardie (Old Blind Dogs) on guitar and was created during four special days at Jonny’s family home in Strathdon where it was recorded ‘live’. The aim was to capture the energy of the Highland fiddle and the atmosphere of the historic surroundings. This approach to traditional music has resulted in a fresh and dynamic recording. The album includes many bagpipe tunes and Gaelic songs from the tradition and there are
extensive sleeve notes containing stories and background information.
