Andy Thorburn - Piano [CD]

A man, a piano and a phenomenal breadth of talent. Andy composed ten of the eleven pieces on the CD, his compositional skills are superb, like his playing. Not a specifically Scottish album in sound, but one which uses the native rythms and tones in subtle ways to celebrate the beauty of the country, and to tell of the travails of the people and their celebrations. A truly gorgeous CD.
