THE DEAF HEIGHTS have long been recognised to be one of Scotland's most innovative and exciting bands, effortlessly combining a unique, cosmopolitan range of influences - Celtic, Cajun, Indie, Country and Rockabilly to name but a few - into an eclectic and infectious blend of sound.

The group's reputation was originally built on their hugely popular 'live' shows. As Scotland's only true exponents of the French-American Cajun sound, they were well ahead of the field as the popularity of 'World Music' grew throughout the 1980's.

Unwilling to rest on their laurels, THE DEAF HEIGHTS moved on to broaden their sound by incorporating original compositions, reflecting the band member's wide and varied musical experience without losing any of the spark and vitality that characterised their early work.
