The Clan Reel                            R            4 x 32 

Dance devised by Ian MacKenzie.

1 – 8             2^nd couple followed by 1^st couple dance down, cross over, 2^nd couple below 4^th couple, 1^st couple below 3^rd couple and dance up on the wrong side to partner’s place. Cross back to own side with the right hand.

9 – 16           1^st and 2^nd couples dance ¼ Petronella. Dance ½ right shoulder reel of four. Finish in the middle; 2^nd couple at top facing up, 1^st couple in 3^rd place facing down.

17 – 24         1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd couples dance reels of three on their own sides. (1^st couple dance down and out, 2^nd couple dance up and out, whilst 3^rd couple dance in and up). 1^st couple finish by looping into 3^rd place and 2^nd couple loop into 1^st place, 3^rd couple finish in 2^nd place.

25 – 32         1^st and 4^th couples dance progressive rights and lefts: Cross right hand, turn left hand, cross back right hand, change places left hand.
