One For The Millennium dance instructions               S            3 x 48 

Dance devised by Ted Willitt.

3 couple set.

1 – 8             1^st couple set to partner, half turn right hand into promenade hold facing down. Dance down between 2^nd couple and 3^rd couple, drop right hands, cross and cast to 2^nd place own sides (2^nd couple step up on bars 7 – 8).

9 – 16            2^nd, 1^st and 3^rd couples mirror reels. To start, 1^st couple dance in and up, 2^nd couple out and down, 3^rd couple out and up (join nearer hands with partners whenever possible in the reels).

17 – 20            1^st couple half figure of eight round 2^nd couple.

21 – 24            1^st couple half figure of eight round 3^rd couple.

25 – 28            1^st lady right hands across with 2^nd couple, 1^st man right hands across with 3^rd couple.

29 – 32            1^st lady followed by 2^nd couple, 1^st man followed by 3^rd couple chase halfway round the set clockwise. (Order now 3,1,2 opposite sides).

33 – 36            1^st man with 3^rd couple, 1^st lady with 2^nd couple circle left and on bar 36 pull back right shoulder to face each other (1^st man facing down, 1^st lady facing up).

37 – 40            1^st couple set to each other, 1^st man casts behind 3^rd man to 1^st place opposite side, while 1^st lady dances behind 3^rd lady to 1^st place opposite side (3^rd couple step down on bar 40. Order now 1,3,2 all on opposite sides).

41 – 44            All 3 couples join hands on the sides, advance for one bar, retire for one bar, and link.

45 – 48            All 3 couples advance for one bar, retire for one bar, and link.
