One For The Millennium dance instructions               S            3 x 48

3 couple set.

 

1 – 8             1st couple set to partner, half turn right hand into promenade hold facing down. Dance down between 2nd couple and 3rd couple, drop right hands, cross and cast to 2nd place own sides (2nd couple step up on bars 7 – 8).

9 – 16            2nd, 1st and 3rd couples mirror reels. To start, 1st couple dance in and up, 2nd couple out and down, 3rd couple out and up (join nearer hands with partners whenever possible in the reels).

17 – 20            1st couple half figure of eight round 2nd couple.

21 – 24            1st couple half figure of eight round 3rd couple.

25 – 28            1st lady right hands across with 2nd couple, 1st man right hands across with 3rd couple.

29 – 32            1st lady followed by 2nd couple, 1st man followed by 3rd couple chase halfway round the set clockwise. (Order now 3,1,2 opposite sides).

33 – 36            1st man with 3rd couple, 1st lady with 2nd couple circle left and on bar 36 pull back right shoulder to face each other (1st man facing down, 1st lady facing up).

37 – 40            1st couple set to each other, 1st man casts behind 3rd man to 1st place opposite side, while 1st lady dances behind 3rd lady to 1st place opposite side (3rd couple step down on bar 40. Order now 1,3,2 all on opposite sides).

41 – 44            All 3 couples join hands on the sides, advance for one bar, retire for one bar, and link.

45 – 48            All 3 couples advance for one bar, retire for one bar, and link.
