Dance devised by Ian Barbour.

5 couple longwise set.

 

1 – 2             1st and 3rd couples cast off one place, 2nd and 4th couples move up.

3 – 8             1st and 3rd couples dance left hands across once and a half to finish facing 1st corners.

9 – 12            3rd and 1st couple half reel of four with 1st corners to finish facing 2nd corners.

13 – 16           3rd and 1st couple half reel of four with 2nd corners to finish facing 3rd corner positions.

17 – 20           3rd and 1st couple half reel of four with ‘3rd corners’ to finish 3rd couple in 2nd place on own sides, 1st couple in 4th place on own sides.

21 – 24           All five couples set to partner and cross over, giving right hand, to the opposite side.              Now 5,3,4,1,2.

25 – 28            5th and 3rd couple together, 4th and 1st couple together set and link.

29 – 32            3rd and 5th couple together, 1st and  4th couple together dance right hands across once round.

33 – 36            3rd, 5th, 1st, 4th and 2nd couples set and link to lines across the dance.

37 – 40            Set and link to own side to finish 2,4,1,5,3.
