Dance instructions for THE WEDDING LINK        Jig           8 x 32 

Dance devised by Lynn Christie. 

1 – 4             1st and 2nd men giving right hands and 1st & 2nd ladies giving left hands turn halfway round, finishing with 2nd couple in top place and 1st couple back to back in the center facing own sides. Set in double triangles position.

5 – 8             All continuing to set, 1st couple dance right around each other to face opposite sides, joining hands in double triangles position. All set.

9 – 16           1st couple dance a figure of 8 on opposite sides round 2nd & 3rd couples, dancing down behind 3rd couple to start, joining nearer hands when meeting in the center, and finishing in 2nd place on opposite sides.

17 – 20         1st & 3rd couples set and link.

21 – 24         Giving right hands, 1st couple turn ½ way round to face up, then lead up to 2nd place while 3rd couple turn and cast off to original place.

25 – 32         2nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance 6 hands round and back.

 

Repeat having passed a couple.
