On the 2nd chord the 3rd & 4th couples cross right hand. 1 - 4 1st with 2nd couple, ALSO 4th with 3rd couple, dance rights & lefts ½ way round. 5 - 8 1st & 4th couple advance to meet in the centre & turn right hand into promenade hold, with the 1st couple facing the ladies’ side & 4th couple facing the men’s side, WHILST 2nd & 3rd couples cross right hand and set to partner. 9 - 16 1st couple with 2nd lady & 3rd man, ALSO 4th couple with 2nd man & 3rd lady, dance a reel of 3 on the sideline. To start, the 1st couple & 3rd man, ALSO 4th couple and 2nd man, pass by the right. The dancing couples finish in 2nd places facing out with hands released, 1st couple on ladies’ side & 4th couple on the men’s side 17 - 20 4th lady & 1st man cast up to face down between 3rd couple, WHILST 4th man & 1st lady cast off to face up between 2nd couple, AND 2nd & 3rd couples change places right hand and set on the sideline. 21 - 24 1st man with 4th lady, ALSO 4th man with 1st lady, advance for 2 bars then turn their partners by the right hand 1 ¼ times into promenade hold to finish 1st couple facing out on the ladies’ side & 4th couple facing out on the men’s side, WHILST 2nd man & 3rd lady, ALSO 2nd lady & 3rd man, turn 1 ½ times right hand to change places. 25 - 32 1st couple with 2nd lady & 3rd man, ALSO 4th couple with 2nd man & 3rd lady, dance a reel of 3 on the side lines. To start, 1st couple in promenade hold pass the 2nd lady by the left, WHILST 4th couple also in promenade hold pass the 3rd lady by the left. On bars 31-32 the 4th & 1st men cross their lady in front & dance out to 2nd & 3rd places respectively, to finish in the order 2 4 1 3, with 1st & 3rd couples now on the wrong sides of the set.
