Dance Instructions for Ghillie Laces      S          8 x 32 

Dance devised by Bill Philip.

 

1 – 4             1st man and 2nd lady half right hand turn to face each other, pull right shoulder back and dance out to each other’s place.

5 – 8             1st lady and 2nd man repeat.

9 – 12            1st man and 3rd man repeat.

13 – 16           1st lady and 3rd lady repeat.

17 – 20           1s and 3s half rights and lefts.

21 – 24           1s and 2s set and cross right hand to own sides.

25 – 32           1s and 2s dance double figure of eight (1s cross up and 2s dance down to begin).

 

The formations represent:

1 – 16              Lacing the shoe.

17 – 24            Laces encircling the ankle.

25 – 32            Tying the laces.
