The Prodigals are a seven piece band who play an exciting blend of traditional and modern Celtic music. The band can truly be said to be a 'United Nations' phenomenon with members from Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and Canada.

Formed in the autumn of 1994 by ex-Tannas guitarist Mike Garden the band played extensively throughout Scotland in 1995. The latter part of the year saw them cut their first album 'The Anvil'  which prompted the following review from Rock 'n' Reel magazine:

"...one of the most exciting group co-operations of the decade...the wonderful singing of...Marcy d'Arcy is complemented by the powerhouse backing of the Prodigal Sons.
