Scottish bazouki playing singer/songwriter Dave Robb was an original member of the folk band Rua, with whom he made an album Rua (1986) and played as far afield as New Dave Robb Zealand and Australia. He later toured with the Proclaimers and supported Christy Moore, gaining a reputation as Scotland's bazouki-playing bard. In 1989 he appeared on The Roke, an album by a group of Edinburgh musicians led by the then Waterboys member Colin Blakely.  In 1990 Dave appeared with his band The Filmmakers at the Reading festival. From 1998-93 Dave and the Filmmakers were regulars at the Edinburgh Summer Festival. Their album Capture an Image was released in 1991. Since then he has been performing in Eastern Germany returning to Scotland to promote Prussian Blue with appearances at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and on several Radio Scotland Shows together with Colin Macfarlane.

Dave is appearing live on Ardan, TG4, RTE in Dublin on Saturday 11th December 2004, from 10-11pm. 

His new CD "Star in the Morning" will be launched in the Menagerie in Belfast on Friday 21st January 2005.
