This superb Scottish ceilidh band are based in Central Scotland within easy
striking distance of Glasgow and Edinburgh but they
also play all over Scotlandand
England whether it be Inverness, Ayr, Aberdeen, Perth, Dundee, Alva, Hamilton in fact
too many to mention. They are also a truly International ceilidh band having
made several trips abroad including Mexico and Azerbaijan.
The band play lively sets of Reels, Marches and Jigs for
such well known set dances as Strip the Willow, The Dashing White Sergeant,
Broun's Reel, Virginia
Reel and many others which they will teach you if required! Blending this with couple dances such as Waltzes, The Gay Gordons, Britannia Two-Step, St Bernard's Waltz and the Canadian Barn Dance. The band
is continually adding new dances to there repertoire from Scotland and Ireland whilst picking up
the odd dance from their world travels!

- The core
musicians in the Band are Frank Leighton, midi accordion : Mike Garner :
Electric fiddle, mandolin and banjo :Alan Stevenson : Bodhran, assorted percussion,
whistles, vocals and caller : Willie Heuer, Guitar.
- The
band can be expanded as required, calling on a
number of skilled players who have been associated with the Band since its
inception.

second generation of Craigenroan have now joined the Craigenroan extended
family: Kay Leighton, a champion Highland Dancer both demonstrates the dances
and gives exhibition displays of Traditional Dancing. : Jill Stevenson is a
composer, vocalist and flautist in the Celtic tradition.

introduce new and unusual dances, selected from their foreign trips, to their repertoire on a regular basis.

come in a choice of colour co-ordinated kilts or matched Isle of Skye or Red
McGregor tartans.
